UAE Digital Government Budget
The UAE government demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing digital government services and initiatives, with a substantial allocation of resources. This commitment is evident through significant investments in digital transformation, as well as the ambitious goals set to position the UAE as a global leader in digital innovation and technology.
In 2022, the UAE approved the Federal General Budget for 2023-2026, featuring a total estimated expenditure of AED 252.3 billion. Notably, AED 23.9 billion, representing 38% of the total general budget, is directed towards the government affairs sector. This allocation encompasses the enhancement of smart government infrastructure, the development of digital services, and the implementation of cybersecurity initiatives.
In the same year, the UAE’s federal budget reached AED 58.931 billion, with AED 21.662 billion, equivalent to 36.76%, dedicated to the government affairs sector. This allocation specifically supports the advancement of digital government initiatives and services.
